Manifesto for a metastable art
In collaboration with FAMA (Four Artists for a Metastable Art): Valentina Lapolla, Rachel Morellet, Eva Sauer e Tatiana Villani.
Manifesto for a metastable art, 21 x 21 cm, ink on paper, lemon juice. 2017
In august 2016, with three friends of mine we had the common desire to experiment our synergies and complementary work practices, so we create a common project that has arrived in october 2017 with the exhibition Skūmaz, a metastable state, Pavillon di Villa Romana, in Florence. We continued to investigate the concept of metastability for BAU OUT attempting a definition with Manifesto: a metastable work reacting to heat.
Manifesto Box
Mixed media, 20 x 20 x 15 cm, 2018
For the presentation of the BAU Magazine at the Gamec Museum in Viareggio, we created our second version of our Manifesto, Manifesto Box.
The mysterious object, placed on a high pedestal, remains silent.
A black box with a big white key that invites to action.
When the viewer touches the work, the key lights up and the box begins to vibrate, producing sinister and funny noises - and then it slowly spits out a paper tongue: a receipt, on which "The Manifesto for a Metastable Art" appears, which the viewer can take. The receipt is a gift destined to disappear with the time as it is printed on a unstable support.
